Komondor Dog, originally from Hungary, is a big, sturdy livestock dog and covered with extraordinary fur coat which protects him from intense climate conditions and predators. Together with its benefits, his white coat lets him blend in with the sheep. Don’t let his fluffy look fool you. Despite his bulk and heavy wool, the Komondor is so agile and behaves very quickly. He can stand more than 27.5 inches and weigh over 100 pounds.
A Komondor may be right for you because he has many excellent features. He is a smart breed and it is very easy to train him. Contrary to popular opinion the Komondor is not a herder but a flock guardian. He is very famous with their ability of protectivity, and he would do anything to defend his family. He is also extremely attached to their people; also he is known to be remarkably faithful. Although he tends to be warm and devoted to his family, he is suspicious of strangers.
In spite of the many good points he has, it still might be not easy to live with a dog like him. Consider that he is a bandog and barks loudly especially at nighttime when he hears a noise.

Keep in mind that it may be not right both for you and your dog if you are not able to provide a home or lifestyle that keeps this breed satisfied. He is not suited to homes like apartments. His optimum environment is a large home with a wide and securely fenced yard. As I said before a Komondor can stand more than 27.5 inches and weigh over 100 pounds. Let’s say your home is approached by stairs, consider how you would take the dog like a Komodor inside and outside when he gets ill or damaged.
