Watermelon Fruit

The watermelon (Citrullus Lantus) belongs to the Cucurbitaceae family. It is an one-year plant species. The weight is between 2-7 kilograms. The big fruits in the shape of a ball are sweet and watery. Sugar content is a very high nutrient. 100 grams watermelon contains 1 gram of protein and 6 grams of sugar. The roots can be quite deep in dry agricultural conditions. 
         Since it has a warm and temperate climate, it is very much affected by cold. For this reason, at the time of sowing the temperature of the soil should not be more than 12 degrees Celcius.

According to Spanish scientists, this feature of the watermelon is due to the L-citrulline components. The amino acid L-citrulline is converted to L-arginin by the body. This regulates blood circulation and relaxes the blood vessels. 
        Watermelon lowers the LDL called bad cholesterol and prevents high cholesterol-induced vascular occlusion. 
        Lycopene that gives a red color to fruits and vegetables. Watermelons contain more lycopene than a tomato. Fruit and vegetables containing lycopene reduce prostate cancer and cataract risk and are good for macular degeneration. 
        Watermelon controls high blood pressure in overweight people. 
        It contains very little calories. 100 grams of watermelon is about 30 calories. At the same time, the fibrous structure keeps it though. Nevertheless, it should not be forgotten that it contains too much sugar. In addition, a serving of watermelon contains about 18% of daily vitamin A. 
        91% of this exquisite summer fruit is water. It is rich in electrolytes. It is good for fatigue in hot summer months. Electrolytes are also important for nerve cells and heart-muscle health. 
        This fruit, which is highly nutritious, contains high A and vitamin C and calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, copper and manganese.
