Arnold Schwarzenegger is an Austrian film actor, sportsman and politician. He is living in USA since 1968. Since November 17, 2003, he has served as the 38th governor of the US state of California.
Arnold Schwarzenegger was born in Graz, Austria. Schwarzenegger, also known as Arnie, focused on bodybuilding at an early age and received numerous awards in this regard. When he reached the age of 20, he won the World Championship in bodybuilding. After this award, he won this title 13 more times. It is still considered by many to be the largest name in this regard.
In 1969, he met Barbara Outland Baker, an English teacher who will be with him for the next 5 years. In 2006, Baker wrote a book about the insides of their relationship that named “Arnold and Me: In the Shadow of the Austrian Oak.”
Arnold Schwarzenegger graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Business and Economics Department in 1979. He decided to invest the money he won from previous competitions in a firm that sells bodybuilding equipments. He became a millionaire when he was 22 years old. Arnie was interested in acting since then.
In 1986 Arnold married Maria Shriver, the daughter of Eunice Kennedy Shriver, who is the sister of former US President John Kennedy. He had four children from this marriage.
With his first film, Hercules in New York, he couldn’t satisfy the expectations. Because his English was not very good, his voice was dubbed in this movie. His strong body and muscles made him a perfect fit for this film.
Arnie, who later starred in several more films, made a name for himself in 1982 with Conan The Barbarian. Arnie, known as Conan by people, entered the history of cinema in 1984 with the Terminator in gold letters. Arnie tried his luck not only in action films, but also in comedy. Arnie was more successful among the actors who generally tried to switch from action to comedy. He proved his claim in this regard with the Kindergarten Cop in 1991.
In the same year, he showed his name not only in comedy but also in science fiction. The sequel, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, the first of which was shot in 1984 and was a success at the box office, becomes the highest-grossing and highest budget film ever made.
In his first film, he was called Arnold Strong by the filmmakers because his last name was hard to say. In his second film, he used the surname Schwarzenegger for being disturbed by this incident.
